Event Submission Guidelines:

BOOKMARK THIS PAGE! Once you have been given access, here’s how you create a new event:

  1. Event Title – Give your event a clear, descriptive title.

  2. Date & Time – Be sure to enter the correct date and time for your event. (if you host a weekly/monthly event you can make it repeat in the calendar using the dropdown here)

  3. Location – Include the venue name and address.

  4. Calendar - Select the “Guernsey Gigs Official Calendar” from the dropdown

  5. Event Image – Click on the triangular button to upload an image that represents your event. This will appear alongside the listing. (please see more detailed instructions below)

  6. Description – Add a short, but detailed description of the event.

  7. Event link - Please include a link back to a page with more information or where people can buy tickets etc.

  8. Save! - Double check all of your information before Saving your event to the calendar

Your event will be visible on the website as soon as you hit publish so please thoroughly check it before going live. Don’t worry, you will be able to go back and edit your event if needed.

Adding Event Images:

In order for your images to be imported to the calendar correctly you’ll need to change the image permissions so our website can see it.

  1. Upload image – Click on the triangle “google drive” icon and upload your poster/gig banner art

  2. Click on the image icon

  3. Then click on the triple dots

  4. Then click the ‘Details ‘button

  5. Then ‘Manage access

  6. Then change permissions to “Anyone with the link

  7. Then click “done
